Management Drives is a complex and sensitive profiling tool, developed from an academic psychological theory and tailored for practical use in a business context.

Drives, Behaviours and Values.

What are values? People talk about values as though they are real observable things.

YOU CAN'T SEE VALUES, YOU CAN'T MEASURE VALUES.

What you can see are BEHAVIOURS. Values are attempts to globalise sets of behaviours. What a value means to one person is completely different to another person's meaning. It depends on you drives.
Systems based on 'values' get you to select 'value' words from large sets. But if the same words mean different things to different drives, what do the results actually mean?

Values can be very meaningful and important to the individual. The problem occurs when we try to talk collectively, or organisationally about values!
